General Purpose, Solvent Resistant Emulsions

FX88 An abrasion resistant, general purpose emulsion for use with solvent based poster or enamel inks. Produces stencils with good resolution and definition; good solvent resistance. Supplied with high quality powdered diazo sensitizer. Recommended for low intensity light sources. Blue.

Completely Solvent Resistant Emulsions

569 Provides high solids content for stencils with superb resolution and excellent edge definition, fine details and halftones. 569 has complete solvent resistance and, thus, affords easy stencil removal. Supplied with powder diazo sensitizer. Purple.

FX88-SR Similar to 569FAST but with separate color for easier see-through registration. Ideal for weaker light sources and aggressive inks, such as vinyls, nylons, and mylars. Especially recommended for use in plastisol printing when aggressive solvents are used during wash-up. (Separate blue color supplied with purchase.)

Water-Resistant Diazo Emulsions
In general, water resistant stencils are reclaimable if not subjected to aggressive solvents during printing or wash-up.

TZ Ulano's blue TZ emulsions are formulated for use with water-based inks, water dyes and plastisols. TZ produces stencils with excellent mechanical resistance, good resolution and edge definition, and excellent water resistance. Stencils are easy to reclaim. Recommended for imprinted sportswear applications.

TZ/CL Same as TZ, but supplied clear for easier see-through registration. (Separate blue color supplied with purchase.)

925WR A pale violet emulsion that shares the main characteristics of Ulano's TZ emulsions, but with a higher solids content and even better resolution, edge definition, and exposure latitude. Stencils produced with 925WR are completely water resistant and very durable. 925WR comes with a syrup diazo sensitizer, for faster and surer mixing. Recommended for imprinted sportswear applications.

925WR/CL Same as 925WR, but supplied clear for easier see-through registration. (Separate violet color supplied with purchase.)

Diazo-Photopolymer (Dual-Cure) Emulsions
Ulano's diazo-photopolymer emulsions represent a dynamic step forward in dual-cure technology. The Ulano LX series of dual-cure emulsions provide higher solids content, faster exposure times, superior resolution and definition capabilities, and resistance to both solvent- and water-based inks. Ulano's LX dual-cure emulsions are partially presensitized and should be handled under yellow safe light conditions before exposure.

Proclaim Proclaim, a diazo-photopolymer (dual-cure) emulsion formulated to provide unequalled exposure latitude and ease of decorating, even if underexposed and used with aggressive inks and washup solvents. Proclaim is multi-purpose, fast exposing, and provides superb resolution and acutance. Its high solids content (37%) provides better stencil build per coat, excellent bridging of coarse mesh, and fast drying. Proclaim has superb coating properties and durability, and is resistant to a wide variety of solvent-based inks, as well as water-based UV. Proclaim is very suitable for general purpose graphics, textile, and industrial applications. Latitude, resolution, and edge definition are excellent, which makes it ideal for fine line and halftone printing. Proclaim is light blue in color; light green with diazo added. Exposed areas revert back to the original blue color, providing a built-in indicator of adequate exposure.

LX-630 is a diazo sensitized, durable, high quality, dual-cure emulsion with excellent resistance to most ink systems. LX-630 is suitable for all general purpose, graphic and industrial applications. Its latitude, resolution and edge definition are excellent, which makes it ideal for fine line and half tone printing. The emulsion is very durable and fast drying for good productivity. LX-630 is blue in color and is supplied with a diazo sensitizer in powder form.

LX-660 is a diazo sensitized, durable, high solids content dual-cure emulsion with superior resistance to water based ink systems as well as most solvent-based inks. LX-660 is compatible with water-based ink systems and suitable for all general purpose, graphics, and industrial applications. Latitude, resolution, and edge definition are excellent, which makes it ideal for fine line and halftone printing. The emulsion is durable and fast drying. LX-660 is red in color and is supplied with a diazo sensitizer in powder form.

LX-680 is a diazo sensitized, high quality, high solids dual-cure emulsion with excellent resistance to all solvent based and UV inks. LX-680 is very suitable for high quality graphics and industrial printing and for all general purpose, graphic and industrial applications. Latitude, resolution and edge definition are excellent, which makes it ideal for fine line and half tone printing. The solids content 38%, provides superior print quality, and very fast drying. LX-680 is blue in color and is supplied with a diazo sensitizer in powder form.

RLX® & RLX®/CL RLX is a multi-purpose high speed diazo photopolymer direct emulsion. RLX's very high solids content provides better stencil build per coat, excellent bridging of coarse mesh, and faster drying. RLX has superb coating properties and durability, and is resistant to a wide variety of solvent- and water-based ink systems. RLX/CL is supplied clear for easier see-through registration. RLX is recommended for imprinted sportswear, P-O-P, and advertising specialty printing. Magenta.

TLX® TLX is a multi-purpose high speed diazo photopolymer direct emulsion. TLX's very high solids content provides better stencil build per coat, excellent bridging of coarse mesh, and faster drying. TLX has superb coating properties and durability, and is resistant to a wide variety of solvent- and water-based ink systems. TLX is recommended for imprinted sportswear, P-O-P, and advertising specialty printing. Light blue.

SBQ Photopolymer Emulsions
Ulano's SBQ photopolymer emulsions are ready-to-use (one part) direct emulsions that provide ultra-fast exposure times (5x faster than diazo, 2x as fast as dual-cures), and excellent resolution and definition. Ulano's SBQ photopolymer emulsions are fully premixed and presensitized, and must be handled only under yellow safe light conditions before exposure.

QTX® QTX is a ready-to-use, ultra-fast exposing SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for imprinted sportswear applications. QTX's high solids content provides superior coating properties, better bridging of coarse fabric, and fast drying. QTX resists plastisol and water-based inks, is also extremely durable, and reclaims easily. Do not subject to strong solvents during printing or wash-up. Red.

QFX® QFX is a ready-to-use, fast exposing SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for industrial halftone and fine detail graphics printing with solvent inks. QFX has superb resolution and offers high solids content for stencils with exceptional edge definition. Recommended for fine detail and halftone printing. QFX resists most solvent-based inks, is extremely durable, and reclaims easily. Magenta.

QX-1 Most Popular Ulano Emulsion (formerly DP-390) was launched officially at SGIA '04 /Minneapolis in early October. QX-1 is a one-pot SBQ-sensitized dual-cure "hybrid" that combines the convenience, exposure speed, and shelf life of pure photopolymer emulsions with the durability, versatility, and imaging properties of dual-cure emulsions.
